How can you begin using KEMTP with your students? First, obtain a password by calling Dr. Steve Newman at (859) 572-5332 or by email at newman@nku.edu. Please be sure to mention your county affiliation.

Next, go to www.mathclass.org and click on KEMTP to preview the test from the student perspective.

  1. Click on the menu item KEMTP.
  2. Click on the menu item KEMTP Test.
  3. Pull down the --Select your school-- menu to select your adult education center. For example, Rockcastle County should choose "KYAE - Rockcastle County". Enter your name, social security number and an examination code of your choice. Then click on the button labeled Retrieve the Exam.
  4. When the test loads, enter the five items of biographical information requested. After taking the test, click on the button labeled Submit and Record Results.
  5. Pull down the --Select a Teacher-- menu to select your name. Then click on button labeled Grade the Exam.
  6. Your exam results will appear on the screen and can be printed for future review. (The test and results will be saved in your online roll book.) Exit from your browser when you have finished.
