Technical assistance is available by calling the Helpdesk at (502) 573-5114 x370. Technicians are available to walk you through a technical problem Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.
If technical support cannot be resolved over the phone, a site visit will be scheduled as soon as possible. Please note that the plug-in CDs to run PLATO, WIN or LiteracyLink are still available on a limited basis. Plug-ins are also available for download from this page.

January 2, 2008: All KEC applications should now be faxed to 866-237-3094. If you submitted applications to KCTCS in the last 30 days, please resend the materials to the new number. December 26, 2007: The new KYAE Plug-in CD (version 8.0) is now available for download. This is now a true win32 application, and requires the .NET 2.0 framework to be installed in order to use it. This also comes on the new CD. In the side menu, click on "Create a Plug-in CD" and follow the directions to download and create the CD. You WILL need administrator privileges to use install the plug-ins from the CD, as well as the .NET applications. Once you download the ISO file and create the CD, insert the CD in your workstation and double click on the "Setup.exe" file. If you have autorun turned on, this will automatically come up. If you have any questions about the CD, please email Dave Henderson at Dave.Henderson@ky.gov.

June 15, 2007: KYAE now provides Rosetta Stone English I and II student user licenses for ESL instruction. ESL instructors may enroll their students by completing the Rosetta Stone enrollments spreadsheet. Students must have a valid e-mail address. Students without an e-mail address can visit www.GoHigherKy.org and create a free account that includes a GoHigherKy e-mail address. E-mail the completed enrollments spreadsheet to Dave Henderson. Rosetta Stone will e-mail students their username and password for Rosetta Stone’s Online Language Learning Center. November 1, 2006: A new Internet version of ACT WorkKeys is now available. This new version eliminates the need for CDs. Training will be provided via online conferences (Webex style), as well as downloadable video clips to help you through the learning process. To begin using the new Internet version, please e-mail Dave Henderson at Dave.Henderson@ky.gov.

August 31, 2006: As of July 11, 2006, Microsoft has ended support for the following Windows Operating Systems:
-Windows 98 second edition
-Windows 98 standard edition
-Windows Millennium
Windows 95 ended in December 2001. What this means is that not only will technical support from Microsoft be unavailable for any computer that uses these operating systems, but also all software companies will be producing new products that will require Windows XP. Their current products that were listed for Windows 98 or Windows Me will no longer receive support. All workstations (student and administrative) need to be using the Windows XP Operating System. Windows 2000 operating system is still okay, but will be going obsolete shortly. Please email Dave Henderson (dave.henderson@ky.gov) if you have any questions.
